I had fun watching videos of Singaporeans. Right after watching Army Daze with who else but Mr. Kelvin Low. Uhhuh. Remember okeh! Once you POP from OCS, call me down! (:
So here is why we love Singapore no matter what people may say. And yes, I take back all the words I wanted to update about Singaporeans earlier in the day.
Singlish Minglish. Who cares? As long as we understand each other, it is all that matters. But of course, don’t take those sentence as me giving up on good English. Because after all, we need good English to survive. We need good English to do marketing around the world. English is important, no matter where we go. Too much Singlish can make people have headache and give up talking to you.
One sentence should never contain more than 1 lah or hor. It’s irritating really. (:
But Singlish Minglish. We understand each other. And that is why, we are uniquely Singapore. That is why, no one else can understand us. Why? Because we are Singaporean. (:
And as a proud Singaporean, we should sing it with pride and dignity.
